ICU # 1a

So that damn splenic artery acted up again today - thank goodness we were already in the hospital (there definitely is someone watching over our Linda). They managed to repair it by filling it up with glue(!!!). Dr Temple was very pleased with how the procedure went. She will be back in ICU for a while to make sure that it sticks (!) and to get rid of the wretched infection in her bladder - the reason we went to the hospital in the first place.  I'm feeling very, very relieved - just couldn't believe we might be in trouble again. Will have a good sleep tonight.

  3. Lunda and Lorraine I am so glad you were still in Calgary and had the great doctors that know Linda there. Prayers coming your way, but then they come every day for the full recovery that is coming, as this is just a little set back.

  7. I totally agree with Lisa. I think there is a "Guardian Angel called "PJ" watching over Linda. Truly unbelievable.
What a true medical miracle Linda is.
Hang in there friends. We are all with you.

  8. Who ever thought a bladder infection would be a good luck charm!?! This one sure was. Thank heavens it got you to the hospital where Linda needed to be for "that damned splenic artery" (Is it just me, or does that phrase sound a bit like a country and western song . . .?)! Liz is another great Vernon friend to be caring for the pooches while you're on the rebound. Won't be long and you'll both be home . . . we're all pulling for that!
