So there is NO blockage - so say the GI docs and Dr. Temple after reviewing the xrays and comparing them with last weekend's ct scan. And Linda has not had a single twinge of nausea since yesterday's Great Silver Vomit. So we're hoping that the stomach is starting to remember what it's in there for! Everything else seems to be in working order. Fluids only this weekend, then they'll try bits of food on Monday. What got Linda really excited today was a move - from the bed 4 position in the ward to the bed 3 position - beside the window with a view of the sky and some Rockies in the distance.

We think the Queen of medical wonders deserves a window view. Glad to hear that there is no blockage. Nausea Nausea go away and STAY away.
ReplyDeleteHope the visits go well this weekend.
Thinking of you often.
Hugs to you both.
Yeah for the mountain view, that will help her remember all of us back here in B.C. still cheering her on! She, and you, Lorraine, will get here soon,-- patience and baby steps. Thinking of you both lots and cheering on the progress.
ReplyDeleteBest of wishes.
Great news about the change of bed, Lorraine. If its the bed I'm thinking of, it not only provides a great view, but also a bit more privacy from all the comings and goings from the busy hallway and nurse's station. Good stuff! Super to hear that there is no blockage and that perhaps Linda's stomach is beginning to come around. Let's make this the last "liquid weekend", Linda! Say "hi" to the family visitors for me . . .and to Tracy, too! Oh, what the heck, give Molly, Chicklet and Coady a belly rub for me, too . . . . :-)
ReplyDeleteTo add to Kim's comment (Must meet her, she sounds full of life) last liquid food weekend. I can imagine there are still a few LIQUIDS that L would like.....
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you got a better bed, nearer the window. Something to look at. Have a good sleep.
