Well - she's making them work for their money! Still having lots of nausea so she's off the wee bits of real food she was getting. They're doing another ct scan this afternoon to check out what might be causing the nausea. Her liver enzymes are up a bit - verging on hepititis so they've taken her off the anti-fungal meds she was on - they evidently play havoc with the liver. It's such a balancing act getting the body's various systems to play fairly! Even with all that, she was up again today walking and (silently) cheering during the first half of the Cal/Sask football game when Sask was winning.
Lovely to see Arlene Lazecki yesterday - she was here for her goddaughter's volleyball tournament and popped in for a wee visit - she made Linda laugh!!
Go Riders Go !!!! Happy to hear Linda's cheering on her team in spite of the nausea..what a trooper !!! Sounds like balancing the body will be yet another challenge Linda will overcome !! Thanks again Lorraine for all your informative posts...you're the bestest (:

I hope Linda was busy doing something else during the second half of the game! Calgary whooped our sorry little butts in that half! The walking and being up a bit at a time sound like such great strides. Each day is a bit stronger. Here's to tomorrow being Day 1 on the regular ward. You'll miss all those ICU staff members! They've been so good to the two of you. Missing you both . . . .
ReplyDeleteWow, I have just been able to read up on all that has taken place for the two of you. It truly has been a roller coaster ride. I can see that God has been with you both all the way, as well as many friends and family. Linda's determination and perserverance truly do make her one in a million! And you as well Lorraine to stay by her side and keep everyone in the "know". You two make an amazing team! I think about you both every day. I pray for Linda that she continues to see improvements each and every day. I am so glad to read that her sense of humour is still in tact! Stay strong Linda!
ReplyDeleteI always knew Linda was amazing. I guess you two will never look at probabilities and statistics quite the same way. I love this story. It is so inspirational. Take care Lorraine and tell Linda I love her. Carol
