Good Morning! Hope you have all recovered from the New Year festivities and are anticipating marvelous things in 2011. Our major celebration was spending the Eve day with Judi - we're still chuckling about that!! Linda was out and about both days on the weekend. Saturday - to Tracy's for the afternoon when she got to meet the whole Lyons family - what a wonderful crew!!! And Sunday - out for a wee (chauffeur-driven) tour of some of Lorraine's favorite places to eat in Calgary - Eidilweiss, Jimmy's Shawarmas, Lina's Italian Market (where she had some pistachio gelato) - and then on to The King's Speech which we both thoroughly enjoyed - highly recommended.
Medical update - Drain #1 has virtually nothing coming out of it so we're hoping it will be pulled sometime this week. Drain #3 still has stuff coming so it will stay. There will probably be another CT scan this week to assess the healing of the fistula. But Linda just seems to be sooo much better - tons more energy. Her speech is sure becoming much clearer and that right hand tremble is also improving. Still no definitive date for escape and we're trying to be patient. Looking forward to seeing you Vernonites soon!

That was a busy weekend for you. We want to see that movie as well. Stopping for pistachio gelato is like stopping to smell the roses! :) Linda, all those improvements sound great and here's to keeping up that energy and eyes on your escape route! love ya.
ReplyDeleteHi friends
ReplyDeleteAwesome to hear that Linda's energy is improving.
Chicklet and Coady are doing awesome. However we have to work on Chicklet moving a little quicker when i walk all the dogs together. Her legs are small though. She sure is CUTE.
We hope to see our Vernonite friends back home soon.

What a great picture of the three of you. So happy that you both were able to get out of the spa, visit with friends, have a treat and see a movie. Once again Happy New Year to everyone. See you soon we hope. Ren and Den

ReplyDeleteHi guys!
ReplyDeleteIt was so great seeing you both again.Really pleased to see Linda looking so much better and with more energy. Our trip back was not pleasant, very slushy and dirty.Had to have the radio on very loudly to drown out the sound of rocks hitting us.Thank goodness we waited to have our windshield changed.Off to Regina this Friday but are flying this time.Hope you are back here when we return on the 18th.Look forward to seeing you soon.Love from Stew and me.
Well, sounds like things are improving with plumbing drains and all! Glad to hear that L has much more energy as that is probably the most important indicator of recovery; the body has a bit of excess energy, NOT having to go into recovery of tissues, but available for L to just get up and about and OUT!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting out to see movies. C and I got to watch HP and liked it a lot, but were sad to see Dobby go, even when we knew it was coming.
2 more sleeps before the weekend.
