Well, it looks like Calgary is going to be 'home' for a while longer. The test yesterday showed that the stomach fistula hasn't healed up yet so the feeding tube stays in. We're focusing on (and thankful) how careful the Docs are being about making sure Linda gets completely better. And knowing that we'll be here - probably over xmas - means we can make some plans for the festive season. First on our list is organizing Lucille's return to Calgary - we're very glad that she wants to be here with us. Tracy (maybe I should say Saint Tracy) and her family have made it clear that we are all welcome at all their celebrations - maybe we'll come home with some new traditions! We're also very excited about the pooches returning to Calgary with Lynne and Cath when they come here - not sure how the Hamilton household will handle not having the girls around! They may be overrun with quail!!

Sounds like you guys will have a nice holiday with lots of family around which is always a wonderful treat :). There are probably some exquisite Christmas decoration displays to enjoy there too. Getting to see how the big city does Christmas is probably somethig to experience!
ReplyDeleteWe just want you safe and sound so whatever needs to happen so thats the case we will happily hold down the fort until then. Lots of love and light, take care!
Linda sending healing energy and counting you as one my blessings in life.

I dropped by Liz's on my way home from work and was greeted at the door by the two pooches. They are very comfortable barking and protecting the Hamilton household and lolling on the couch and Liz's favourite chair. Coadie let me pet her and she stuck around me for a while. Lots of tail wagging! . Chicklet on the other hand would probably let me put her in my purse and take her home. I'm pleased that you two are making plans to spend Christmas in Calgary and your right you may take on some new traditions. It will be lots of fun being with Tracy and her parents. Your in good hands Linda and we're grateful for that. Take care everyone. Your Christmas card will be coming to the Lyon household. Love Ren and Den.
ReplyDeletecould you send us a mailing address? Kayla and I would like to send something!
ReplyDeletethanks, Tess
What Tess said... :) It will be great to have Lucille back for Christmas! You 3 together create a strong force. I can see you 'lighting up the room' ;) love and hugs.
ReplyDeleteHow do we all thank the careful staff at your spa? I am glad they are careful, but sorry you won't be here sooner. Oh well, sounds like you are increasing your family of the heart there in Calgary. We are glad that your hearts are so big that they can reach out and also accept the reaching out of others.
ReplyDeleteKeep planning ahead for food Linda....
Take a Christmas lights drive if you are looking for festive fun.....we call them pajama drives here, but that is with children, the adults mostly wear regular clothes.....but who is writing the rule book? Not me.
New Christmas traditions, good.
Love flowing from west of the mountains.

ReplyDeleteLinda & Lorraine, You are lucky to have Lucille coming back to Calgary to be with you guys. It won't really matter where you are for Christmas because you will have everything that Chrisrmas is about, family and friends and the pooches to be with and the love and support of those of us that can't physically be there with you bur are definitely with you in our thoughts and prayers. Glad the docs are being so careful.
ReplyDeleteChristmas is about family and friends, and it sounds like you you will be surrounded with both! Glad to hear your mom is coming back for a visit and bringing the pooches - animals have healing powers, just think of all those cuddles and licks.
