Hi All,
Lorraine managed to get to visit today at the hospital, but she is still battling her cold. I am not surprised she caught a cold, she has been so busy taking care of me and worrying about me. She went home this afternoon to have a wee rest.
As for me, my chest pain where my newest drain was put in continues to bug me, but we tried a dose of codine this afternoon and that seemed to help a fair bit. Other than that, things are coming along - I hope to get some of my drains out this week and move forward.
I ordered some gifts online from LLBean and Signals (great stores) last week - what a great invention that is! I just hope they arrive on time.
That's all for now. Take care.
Linda
Sending healing energy to both of you
ReplyDeletethanks for the update.

Hey Linda,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you are able to give us your updates and that you are up and walking, and I'm impressed that you have done some Christmas shopping! You have been busy over the past few days. Its good that the codeine is doing the trick and managing your pain...... will be great to get the drain out, hopefully later this week, as you mentioned.
As always, sending lots of good wishes to you and Lorraine.
Lorraine, you take care of yourself and get rid of that cold!
hugs to you both.
Linda & Lorraine, Glad to hear things continue to move forward. Hopefully they can keep the discomfort with that ome drain manageable. I agree, isn't online shopping cool. No lines just browse, point and click. I hope the packages arrive in time. They are usually pretty good with that. It is important that Lorraine take care of herself. Hopefully the cold won't last long. Both of you take care.
ReplyDeleteThe magic of codine and the wonders of on-line shopping! Can't imagine how good it will be to get rid of all that extra piping. Thinking of you and Lorraine all the time. Hugs and love.
ReplyDeleteWell everyone is singing the virtues of codine and yes I agree it is good stuff. On line shopping is the best , you don't have to go where the crowds are and it is easy. Take care Love Liz and Jim and the pooches.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda...drugs are great when you need them!!I'm battling a bit of a bug as well...remember those throat lozenges you LOVE so much...maybe Lorraine could try them...(called OLBAS)...I'll never forget the face you made...teehee !!!!
ReplyDeleteSending lots of love & hugs to you both....Pat
Hey there, Linda! Always so good to hear from you. I've never done the online shopping thing . . . but this just might be the year that I give it a go . . . if for no other reason than to "get with the 21st century!" :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Lorraine is looking after herself with wee naps. I hope you manage to duck and weave if any of those "cold bugs" head in your direction!
Sure glad to hear the docs are talking about removing drains . . . .sounds like more steps forward to me!
Give Lorraine a hug for me! Miss you both . . . .
