Hi All.  I am plunking away with my jittery typing looking out my window at the downtown Calgary skyline -it sure looks like a frosty morning, but sunny which is cheery.

My chest pain continues but the docs said if it becomes infected they will put in another drainage tube to clear the infection - not a big deal all in all.  Other than that I am on the mend - still don't when we will be able to leave - day by day.

Lorraine went to a craft sale yesterday with Tracy - right up her alley and she bought a few items.  We  are slowly getting ready for Christmas with buying stocking stuffers and ordering gifts online.

  1. Hi Linda! This is my new day off, so I'm home and it's snowing. I'm off to take the dog for a walk in that white "stuff", in the forest--that should give us some exercise! The bears should all be in bed by now. I'm so happy to hear that you are the typist today, just so happy to know that you are that strong, "It's all good!" as Michelle used to say. Miss you lots, with a gentle hug, N.

  3. Hello Linda,
    This is good prep!
Well, it seems that the doggies are courting European automobiles now. And testing their scaring skills on felines! Ooh, you will have to deprogram them when you get home. I saw them last night when I picked up Liz for Xmas concert at Lav. They barked at first and then I could pet them amongst the wiggles!
Glad you have some energy to blog. Good to connect. This is doubtless some of the trying times, waiting and waiting, forward and back. Wanting your body to respond more quickly so you can get home sooner. Relying on our bodies and others to help is a lesson we would sometimes rather forgo. I got a big shot of the relying on others this fall when C took on Charlie. I had to ask many others to help with rides for him and other bits. I did not even meet some of those kind and helpful people until the end of the Charlie ride. Humbling, but yet again, apparently I am part of a community....that old saying about it takes a community to raise a child, perhaps we should change it to it takes a whole community to raise/support/engage/journey with a person
With lots of love from us all.

  8. Hi Linda!

Good to "hear" your voice. Glad to see that you are partaking in a little retail therapy via online shopping. Day-by-Day is definitely a good approach to take, many of us should incorporate it into our lives.

I think of you so often each day! I'm so glad you've got a team of folks monitoring all your "ins and outs" and who can help you push through to wellness.

I miss you, buddy! Keep the posts coming! :-)
